Modern Japanese A unique experience. You can order al a carte or $50 all you can eat. Drinks additional. I was a little sceptical with the variety and quality for an all you can eat menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised. You order via the tablet on your table. There is a great selection of sushi, noodles and dessert items. You can order in stages via the tablet and continue to order as you feel the need. There is a time limit of ordering of 90mins Friday and Saturday. Tonight was busy, yet dishes came out in a timely manner. The freshness of each dish certainly stood out, even the fried items were nicely cooked golden but not over cooked. I believe if you have dishes ordered that aren’t consumed you will be charged on top of the flat fee, however we finished all the dishes order, so can’t confirm. Desserts are quite small which is nice as you can then order a second or something different. Banana Brûlée, chocolate moose and green tea jelly were the stand outs. Drinks were are well priced beer from $12; spirits $9-11, cocktails from $12. If you’re lucky enough to be celebrating a birthday the robot will deliver your dessert. See video. Overall a generous spread at great value. We calculated our total if we were to order al a carte and the food came to $214 (we paid $150).

Visited their new location on Morphett Street and tried out their AYCE lunch. One of their promotions is if you pay with cash it’s $45 PP for AYCE which is honestly such a good deal! A lot of options in the AYCE menu. We wanted to try a little bit of everything but we didn’t want to risk waste so we got some classic aburi salmon, volcano ships, scallops, lots and lots of other things! Also really like the dessert options particularly the black sesame ice cream. One of the negatives we were sat right next to the wall to floor glass window. It was a hot and sunny day and the heat and light was just piercing through the glass. And there were no shades at all. It became really uncomfortable really quickly - maybe invest in some pull down shades for those windows.

I’m someone who enjoys eating alone quietly, and this place is great for that — no awkward feeling at all. The dishes taste really good and the prices are quite reasonable, so the value is definitely there. The only small issue is that sometimes a dish I ordered doesn’t get served and I need to remind them. But the staff are always friendly and the service attitude is very good. Overall, it’s a nice place to eat and I’d recommend giving it a try!

My favourite restaurant in Adelaide — I come here around 15–20 times a year. The new location is spacious and a great upgrade. That said, a few dishes were missed this time despite us ordering well before our time was up, and we waited about 17 minutes for the first dish to arrive, which was roughly a quarter of the total ordering time. However, the food quality has remained consistently good over all the years I’ve been coming here, and the selection of dishes is excellent. Still definitely the best Japanese AYCE in Adelaide.

Came here for the AYCE $54.80 and wow, what great value! The menu is huge, over 80+ options to choose from, including sushi, karaage, steak, rice dishes, sashimi and more! Loved the chicken karaage and the chocolate mousse the most. These were fantastic!! The service is very quick, but be mindful of the time limit as 90 minute seating is very strict and enforced here but is plenty of time to enjoy a great selection. The new venue is absolutely beautiful, definitely a place to keep coming back to!

Such a great place. Food was excellent with a wide variety compared to other all you can eat. Excellent ipad for service. Only place that has taken notice if you were celebrating an occasion. Food came out quickly and quality was good. Lots of flavours. Very tasty. Drinks were well priced and good options. Look forward to returning. Robot delivering our anniversary cake was fantastic.

We enjoy going to Mugen House, especially for the all-you-can-eat option, which offers great value for money. The ingredients are fresh and there’s a wide variety to choose from. The dishes are prepared simply, which ensures fast service – ideal since there’s a two-hour time limit for ordering. While the food may not be exceptional, it’s consistently good and satisfying, especially if you’re looking for a casual dinner with friends or a chance to indulge a bit. The atmosphere is pleasant and we found it quite cool and comfortable during summer. The staff are polite and provide very good service.
